October Blog

As another exciting season of MBL comes to an end, it’s a perfect time to sit back and celebrate the energy, dedication, and spirit that make our leagues truly special. Across every field and community, this year reminded us all why we love the game.

The MBL saw incredible participation at all ages and levels this year, with 737 teams competing. From early-season practices to MBL Playoff games, teams showcased not just athletic skill, but sportsmanship and teamwork that defined the heart of community-based baseball. MBT was equally successful this year, with 649 teams participating in 19 different age groups. The competition was tough, but, as always, memories were unforgettable for the youth, for families, and for fans. There was excitement across the ballpark – proof that the future of the game in our region is in good hands. August Classic, our ever-popular end of year event, capped off the summer in style – a fitting celebration of dedication, friendship, and the simple joy of playing the game. 158 teams and 1945 players participated in the August Classic - both post-pandemic highs. And, continuing that energy, our Fall League featured 312 teams, offering interested players the chance to extend their season for five more weeks.

While the numbers are impressive, this is not what it defines us; rather, it is the small moments throughout the season: the first hits, the last outs, the shared smiles, the bonds between teammates, coaches and families, and all the things in between. Every year, we are reminded that youth baseball isn’t about the wins and losses – it is about learning, growing and building lasting memories. To every player who took the field, every coach who gave their time, and every parent and volunteer who supported from the stands — thank you. Your commitment keeps this league thriving and ensures that the tradition of community baseball continues to grow stronger each year.

As we look ahead to next season, we carry forward the same passion that fuels every inning. We are excited to continue serving our communities, and growing our game!
