The 2025 MBL League Playoffs are coming!
Playoff brackets are created by computer ranking with weighted factors including finish within region, league record and geography. In some cases, seeding integrity will be overridden by geography/travel time constraints. This means a team with 22 points could be placed in a higher playoff tier than a team with 25 points.
Brackets are slated to be published July 2. All brackets are single elimination.

The 15AAA and 15AA divisions will have the option to use an Extra Hitter in their starting lineup. See the link below for notes about the EH and lineup management at the 15U level.

Time for Rule of the Week and Ask the Umpire. Baseball has a lot of rules; let's learn together.
This week, let's dive into a couple classics: batter interference and the definition of a catch.
Rainouts / Cancellation Help Page HERE
Changes on the day of the game
If you need to make a change on the day of the game, first you need to CANCEL the game by clicking CANCEL GAME. This will generate the email notification, to ensure all parties know the game is not happening. After the status has been changed to CANCELLED, you will now have the option to RESCHEDULE - where you can change the date, time and field. On the day of a game, you cannot directly reschedule the game details until you CANCEL the game.
Changes on any day before or after the day of the game
For a change made before or after game day, you can skip the CANCEL GAME procedure and go straight to RESCHEDULE. This will still generate the email notification to all parties connected to the game. If you and your opponent know a game date is not going to work and you will need to reschedule - but you are not sure of what date yet - you can click the CANCEL button, which will change the game status to CANCELLED. You can add the details whenever you agree upon those with your opponent, by clicking RESCHEDULE.
Official Game / Suspended Game for Weather
If a game is suspended due to weather before the teams have completed enough innings to make the game official AND before the time limit has been reached, the game will be continued at a later time from the moment the game was suspended. All pitch counts and batting order will transfer to the continuation of the suspended game, as well as the elapsed time in relation to the time limit.
Pitch Counts for a Suspended Game
Click on your game ID number and click REPORT SCORE/PITCH COUNT, as you would for a normal game. When you enter your game data, select NO for the question, "Is this game complete?" After clicking SAVE for that info, continue to the pitch count page and enter your pitch counts. After saving your pitch counts, the game status will change to SUSPENDED and you will have the option to RESCHEDULE the continuation of your game for a later date.
The pitch counts are assigned to the players and attached to the day the pitches were thrown. The pitch counts transfer to the continuation of your game, and the daily limits for pitch count apply when your game is resumed -i.e., a pitcher cannot throw 49 pitches in the original portion of a game and then throw 50 more in the continuation of the game. Rest days are applicable for the days the pitches were actually thrown. For example, a pitcher who was on a rest day when the game began on the original date might now be available when the game is resumed. The opposite might also be true - a pitcher who was available for the original game might NOT be available for the continuation because he/she pitched in a different game the day prior to the continuation.
All schedules for 15AAA / AA are now published on the site.

Opposing coach contact info is available through PEOPLE / DIRECTORY, or by clicking on the team pages of your opponents (once they are revealed on the site).
In order for coaches to add players, asst coaches and managers to a roster, those players must be registered in the MBL system. The links below will explain the process of having parents register their player(s) and how coaches can then add players to their rosters. Individuals only need to register one time, but all players must have their own individual usernames/registrations. For returning coaches, most of your players are most likely already in the system. Double registrations will cause issues; any efforts to avoid this are appreciated.

With strong support from member association leadership, MBL is adding rest day requirements based on pitch counts for the 2025 league regular season and playoffs. The MBL league web site will assist coaches in tracking rest days, to make these rules as easy as possible to follow. The league game rest day requirements are not connected to tournament play.

The South Metro Miracle League needs your team's help! They are in need of volunteer teams to participate in the Buddy Program, pairing ML players with able-bodied friends to help them on and off the field during the game. It is a great combination when an MBL team pairs up with a Miracle League team on a game night. We have had many MBL teams enroll in the program over the years and EVERYONE has a great experience. Teams or individuals who are interested in the Buddy Program can contact Kari Schmitz for more information or to sign-up. (kari.schmitz@lakevillebaseball.org)

The Miracle League provides an opportunity for kids and adults aged three and older with cognitive and/or physical disabilities to play baseball.
